This article only applies to the next-generation product, Velixo NX, which is currently in preview mode.
When calculating a function in Velixo NX or refreshing data, the add-in may sometimes freeze and/or restart on its own, especially when working with large amounts of data (>50000 rows). This can be observed in Excel Desktop for Windows or Excel for Mac, but not in Excel Online.
Velixo NX, as of version 0.3, is still single-threaded. Thus, if your tenant has many accounts, subaccounts, years, and ledgers to load, Velixo will have to download and aggregate massive amounts of data from Acumatica. During this process, Microsoft Excel may decide that the add-in is unresponsive and force-restart it before the function can compute.
The current workaround is to turn off Microsoft Excel's responsiveness checks.
Microsoft Excel Desktop for Windows
You need to add the following a key to the registry, close Microsoft Excel and restart your computer.
If you have a per-user installation of Microsoft Office:
If you have a machine-wide installation of Microsoft Office, or if you want to apply the workaround to all users on your computer, additionally add the following (you'll need administrator access to the computer):
If you have administrative access to your machine, you can execute the file attached to this support article called AddInRegistry.reg, it will add the above two lines for you.
Microsoft Excel for Mac
Open Terminal and execute each of the following two lines:
defaults write com.microsoft.Office AlertInterval -int 0 defaults write com.microsoft.Excel AlertInterval -int 0
Then quit Microsoft Excel and restart your machine.
Microsoft Excel Online (Browser)
This problem should not be observed in Microsoft Excel Online in the browser - if you do, please report it to our support team.
